Bach: Wachet auf!

Krewe de Voix presents our annual holiday concert featuring Bach’s cantata, “Wachet auf! Ruft uns die Stimme” (Awake! Calls the Voice to Us) for choir, soloists and chamber orchestra.  This performance marks the return of Krewe de Voix to Trinity Church’s renewed sanctuary after 14 months of repairs from Hurricane Ida.  Also on the program are some of Krewe de Voix’s beloved carols and motets for the season.

Schütz: Requiem

Krewe de Voix presents Heinrich Schütz’s “Musikalishe Exequien” (1635) for 6, 7, and 8-part choir.  The first German-language Requiem, and a major influence on Brahms as he composed his 19th-century German Requiem, Krewe de Voix will offer this stunning and rarely performed masterpiece in the spring of 2024.
